Our Services

Thermal Imaging

Thermal Imaging (or Thermography) is growing rapidly as more people recognise the benefits and understand the application of this valuable diagnostic tool within their home and business.

Thermal Imaging is a temperature measurement technique and has the ability to measure temperature in a non-intrusive manner. It is strongly recommended that periodic testing should be undertaken in addition to Thermal Imaging.

This service enables large areas to be surveyed and ascertains the fire risk without having to power down important areas. Thermal Imaging is a fast and cost-effective way to locate faults with no disruption to the running of your business. Ideally the survey is conducted whilst your equipment is working and under normal operational conditions, any problems will be quickly located allowing you time to schedule maintenance repairs.

Electrical Installation Condition Reports

Employers and landlords should always ensure that the Electrical Installation (Fixed Wiring) is tested and inspected and is safe to use. The Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, requires landlords ensure the Electrical Installation is safe when the tenancy begins, and is maintained in a safe condition throughout that tenancy.

Regular visual inspections of the installations should be undertaken to check for any obvious signs of damage such as damaged cables, socket-outlets showing scorch marks, etc. In addition, the Institution of Electrical Engineers recommends that Electrical Installations are formally inspected and tested by a competent person at least once every five years.

Emergency lighting

Emergency lighting is primarily intended to provide sufficient illumination to enable people to see their way safely out of a building in cases of emergency.

In accordance with the requirements of BS5266, emergency lighting systems should be periodically tested and inspected to ensure that all luminaries function and are positioned (including signage) correctly.

Where any escape routes are internal and without windows, or your premises are used during periods of darkness, then some form of backup to the normal escape route lighting (emergency escape lighting) is required.
